Winter Activities
Skiing and snowboarding
Not surprisingly, Nendaz offers visitors a plethora of skiing and boarding opportunities. The village is central in Switzerland’s largest interlinked ski area, with over 400km of pistes and more off-piste slopes than you can shake a ski stick at. There is something for everyone, though, and beginners are equally well catered for.
Snow Shoeing
There are several marked walks in the valley, and maps are available. Snow shoeing is also on the agenda. Organised jaunts into the lower hills and forests are available on request at many of the hire companies in resort. Contact Montagne Magique, Premier Alpine or Neige Aventure for more details.
Cross-Country skiing
Morning event, using the local cross country tracks around the village. Contact Montagne Magique on 0041 79 256 61 76 for more details.
Ice Skating
The skating rink is available for public use at certain times in the afternoon. Skate hire available. Tel: 0041 27 288 16 87 for details.
Tandem Parapenting
A fantastic, exhilarating experience. Contact Premier Alpine or Neige Aventure for more details.
Toboganning
There is a 1km-long toboggan run at Siviez. Access is via the Tortin chairlift so cannot be done after the lifts close at the end of the afternoon. Toboggans can be hired from the sports shop in Siviez, or ask Neige Aventure for details. Lift pass required.
